Anatomische Studien

Wir führen seit Jahren eine umfangreiche Grundlagenforschung des Nervensystems im Gesicht an anatomischen Präparaten von Körperspendern anhand wissenschaftlicher Studien durch. Diese haben das Ziel einer Verbesserung von Operationsmethoden und klinischen Anwendungen. An einer der weltweit größten untersuchten Serien konnte an über 130 Gesichtshälften die Makro- und Mikroanatomie und andere bedeutende Grundlagen des Fazialisnerven (Gesichtsnerv), mimische Muskeln, Gefäße und weitere relevante Strukturen untersucht werden.

Dieser Zielsetzung sollte eine hohe Anzahl an Präparaten zugrunde gelegt werden, da sich in der aktuellen internationalen Literatur nur sehr wenige entsprechende Studien mit höherer Fall- bzw. Präparatanzahl fanden. Zu diesem Zweck wurden in einer großen anatomischen und histologischen Studie an 53 Körperspendern (fresh frozen, Frischpräparate) und an insgesamt 106 Gesichtshälften unter vierfacher Lupenbrillenvergößerung die Äste des N. facialis und des N. massetericus präpariert.  Eine ausführliche Fotodokumentation und Beschreibung der anatomischen Zusammenhänge (Anzahl der Haupt- und Unteräste, Durchmesser, Fusionen, Nervenanastomosen und Unterkreuzungen) erfolgte parallel dazu.

 

 
Unsere fundierten Studien zur Mikro- und Makroanatomie des Gesichtsnervs durch die Präparation von Körperspendern gewährleisten die richtige Indikation und Anwendung modernster Operationsmethoden. Unsere eigenen intensiven Forschungsbemühungen haben sich bereits für viele unserer Patienten ausgezahlt. So garantiert unser „from-bench-to-bedside“-Ansatz ein Höchstmaß an Sicherheit für ihre Behandlung.
 
Die Ergebnisse dieser Forschung sind in 73 wissenschaftlichen Publikationen erschienen, mit einem h-Index von 17 und über 890 Zitationen (Quelle: Scopus, Stand Juli 2026).
